A Slightly Longer "About Me":

Since I first touched the tonearm of a record player as a toddler, I have been fascinated with the concept of recorded music. After pursuing sound engineering for the past fourteen years, I have established myself as a well-rounded professional audio engineer with a focus in mastering engineering. Though I primarily grew up working with indie, alternative rock, and punk music, I always want to further expand my repertoire by taking on any kind of project.

As of 2018, I am now working at GodCity Studio in Salem, MA as Staff Engineer / Kurt Ballou's assistant. If you would like to make a record with me at GodCity, please send me an email.

If there is one crucial thing that I have learned as both a musician and an engineer it is that you cannot neglect to tap into deep creativity while still retaining a sense of technical intuition. I strive to keep my work unique by thinking outside of the box and not always doing things "precisely by the book." This ethos is rooted in my utmost desire to satisfy the artist's vision for their project and transcend it beyond previously perceived limitations.

Outside of strictly mastering records, I have proficiency working on large-format analog and digital recording consoles, various digital audio workstations, analog tape machines and other formats outside of the DAW realm, plus many years of professional experience working with live sound. I attended Berklee College of Music and graduated in May 2014 with a degree in Music Production & Engineering and a minor in Acoustics & Electronics.

In addition to audio engineering, I repair, service, and build audio electronics including (but not limited to) as effects pedals, tube and solid state amplifiers, among other equipment. I believe having a vast knowledge of audio equipment and how it works, both inside and out, truly helps an audio engineer be the best they can be at their job.

My home studio is limited in terms of tracking (since it is primarily a space for mastering engineering), but if you are interested in working together on a record, there are various studios in the Boston area I work out of which I can assist you in booking for a session. I am also willing to travel to engineer your record if you have a specific studio you would like to work in outside of Massachusetts. I do not currently offer attended sessions for mastering.

If you would like a copy of my professional resume and / or a list of recordings I have credits on, please do not hesitate to ask.
